Add the bot to the chat and make it an administrator. Turn on Post messages and Delete messages: the bot can publish event cards and clear command stubs from the feed.
If the group uses forum topics (separate threads inside one chat), also turn on Manage topics. Then the event card appears in the thread you are writing in.
A chat administrator writes /start once in the group. The bot remembers who manages it and sends this guide in a private message.
Write /tz and your city, for example /tz Tallinn. The bot will count dates and times for this group in that city’s time zone.
If someone wants reminders before an event, or a copy in Google Calendar, they open a private chat with the bot and tap Start or write /start.
To create an event, write /event, tap ➕ Event, or start the message with @bot — that is how Telegram delivers the text to the bot.
Going / Maybe / Not going labels are set with /btns in the group: the bot continues in private chat.
Groups are for shared plans: a quiz, a meetup, a concert night.
Personal is DM-only: “➕ Plan” / /plan ….
Create an event in the chat: “➕ Event” / /event … / @bot … / compact line. Prefer @bot first in the message (Telegram privacy). The bottom button often hides in forum topics — use /event.
Schedule on request in the group/topic: “📋 Upcoming” or /list (same: /schedule) — events of this chat, reply stays in the topic.

No time on a compact line → 19:00. Team headers (Team Alpha / Тима Лучгие) apply to the following compact rows (date, org, title, place, MAX). Batch: several lines in one /event → one confirm → N posts.
No MAX → Just info (calendar on the wall, no RSVP) or With poll (Going / Maybe).
With MAX → List / Lottery. The person who publishes is the secretary (not auto-Going; 👤 = organizer label, not “whoever typed”).
Edit is available everywhere except batch. In DM — only Accept / Edit. The original command in the group is deleted (bot needs Delete messages).
In the group: Going / Maybe; Not going — in DM after you tap (unless the chat puts it on the card).
Bot-admin can rename those buttons in DM: /btns in the group opens a private wizard (type 1 / 2 / 3, comma-separated names for random labels, + nice, legend for a group reaction that tags the person who tapped).
Waitlist policy (bot-admin): /wl fifo (queue) · /wl claim (first tap) · /wl msg … (custom text when a spot opens). Bot-admin ≠ Telegram chat admin — /botadmin.
